The Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) organization is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of OCE Project Discipline Manager.
The OCE Project Discipline Manager is a challenging and visible leadership position for the right individual. It is an excellent opportunity to directly contribute to the successes of P&W, CSE and the OCE CIPT and ensure our future competitive edge through successful execution of key tasks. The Project Discipline Manager is a key member of the CSE leadership team and serves as the direct line supervisor for a team of project engineers.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for owning and leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to solve problems and manage tasks
- Developing a fully capable, highly proficient project engineering team
- Leading the advancement of the project discipline, and continuous improvement of project engineering tools and procedures.
- Developing plans and managing technical program tasks and milestones
- Developing hardware designs that meet or exceed module and system requirements
- Developing resource plans including coordinating in-house and outsource resources.
- Leading all aspects of the design from a project engineering discipline perspective and ensuring the successful execution of P&W's engineering process
- Leading investigations and developing solutions for fielded engines
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience OR
- Advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/MBA in Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Focus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and all levels of management
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles
- Knowledge of FAA Certification and regulations
- Knowledge and experience working within SAP, TEAMCENTER, Microsoft Project or equivalent
