We are seeking a Program Manager for our Southwest Atlanta facility. The Program Manager will supervise housing treatment personnel and consultants and will assist the Director of Beginnings with the overall direction, coordination, management, and evaluation of housing services.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the development and administration of residential substance abuse/mental health housing policies and procedures in alignment with the requirements of the agency’s accrediting body and primary funding sources in cooperation with other agency departments.
- Ensures that the residential substance abuse/mental health treatment Housing Department’s day-to-day administrative and programmatic activities are carried out in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Collects daily reports, forms, timecards, consumer sign-in sheets and other data for transformation into weekly monthly and quarterly reporting to internal and external sources as required.
- Reviews and tracks all housing activities; and recommends changes in, or better utilization of, facilities, services, and staff.
- Works with Director of Beginnings to monitor staffing patterns to ensure appropriate scheduling and assignment of staff for coverage.
- Authorizes purchase of supplies and equipment for the housing department and keeps track of utilization to make certain that efficiency is always practiced.
- Prepares and submits records, reports and statistical data to Director of Beginnings as required.
- Provides and documents ongoing supervision of the residential substance abuse/mental health housing programs treatment staff as required by licensing or accrediting organizations.
- Oversees operation of intensive out-patient (IOP) residential treatment program and recommends procedures, treatments, or other courses of action to assist housing staff in carrying out their duties.
- Handles the assignment of duties related to the orientation of new housing employees and ensures that they are trained and equipped to carry out their assigned tasks and duties.
- Prepares the ongoing training schedule for the housing staff and makes certain that all staff meet their training requirements.
- Works consistently to improve the Donna Center Housing Program by recommending improvements or changes that represent “Best Practice” methods.
- Represents the agency at outside meetings and functions as needed.
- Maintains awareness and knowledge of current techniques and treatment information in the behavioral health field.
- Works with the agency management team to ensure proper communication of and adherence to agency policies and procedures, consumer safety, effectiveness of consumer care and compliance to regulatory organizations.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training housing employees, and planning, and directing their work. This includes, performance management and appraisals, rewards and recognition, and disciplinary actions; addressing complaints and resolving problems related to residential housing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Certified Addictions Counselor or licensed counselor preferred with three to five years’ related experience and/or related training
- Minimum two years of demonstrated experience supervising a housing program and people management
