The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the work and results of the programs in which they manage. Program managers monitor the program’s progress and decide on best practices for the program and/or department.
- Monitor overall functioning of the program including but not limited to funding regulations/laws, and determining program eligibility
- Manage programs performance identifying areas of improvement
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, community partners and personnel
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FTS policy and procedures as well as funding regulations
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure compliance with funder regulations
- Decide on suitable strategies and objectives to achieve program goals
- Lead, train and evaluate staff
- Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities within department or program
- Prepare and monitor the audit process and determine ways of improvement
- Assist Compliance Department with internal and external audits
- Monitor and quality check client and program data
- Mitigate risks to the clients and program; Assess and remedy situations
- Resolve client complaints and grievances
- Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors
- Prepare reports for funders and FTS program directors
- Attend management trainings and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; Master’s degree preferred
- Five years’ experience in similar field
- Two years' managing direct reports
- Demonstrate the ability and sensitivity to and understanding of diversity, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and risk factors of homelessness in the Los Angeles area
- Computer proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Speak, write and read fluently in English. Bilingual a plus
