Program Assistant

Part-time, with a potential for full time.

Must have flexible availability and be willing to work an occasional weekend shift

Availability to attend weekly staff meetings on Tuesdays from noon to 2:30pm a plus.

Transitional living program in North Deerfield Beach is looking for a part time wholesome, motivating and energetic individual to join our team. We are a small company with a family atmosphere that enjoys helping young adults with disabilities in all aspects of life.

Applicants should:

• Be a College graduate and/or working to complete an AA or Bachelors
• Have strong social skills and communication abilities
• Be responsible and trustworthy – possess a clean driving record and background check
• Be able to display good decision-making and time-management abilities
• Possess strong teaching abilities- able to display patience and consideration
• Be able to participate in physical activities with clients

Program assistants will be responsible for individual supervision of clients in their apartments, teaching them how to clean and manage their living space, teaching clients how to shop for and cook healthy meals, how to refill their medication prescriptions, assisting with academic or vocational pursuits, etc. Program assistants will be responsible for the supervision of group activities and taking a group of clients to activities in the community such as the beach, bowling, movies, restaurants, etc.

Program assistants will additionally be responsible for documenting all appointments and client progress in our appointment database.

Experience in childcare, academic tutoring, or mental health fields are a plus.

Applicants must have a clean driving record and background check.
