WIRX Engineering, LLC is located in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, FL. We are a challenging and rewarding Firm with excellent opportunities - this specific project is located in the heart of beautiful Alaska with all of the fishing, camping and hiking you can image! Vehicle, per diem and overtime pay apply.

WIRX is seeking 2 mid to senior-level Professional Geotechnical Engineers (PE's) or Geologists (PG's) to join our team to participate on a 5 month earthwork/dam project up in North Pole, Alaska, followed by a wide variety of geotechnical-related water resource projects located in South Florida. Candidate/s must possess a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Degree or Geologist Degree with professional licensure (PE / PG), with experience in water resource related projects/structures, field construction of earthwork, DOT, or governmental inspection oversight. Successful candidates will provide field personnel management support, inspections, logging and downhole camera support, QA support, reporting, and engineering and consulting related services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Construction observation, inspection, and QA testing

· Personnel and project management including supervision of field investigation activities, programs, and inspections.

· Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.

· Provide geotechnical / geological recommendations for site construction activities.

· Prepare daily reports and documentation, geotechnical correspondence, and construction logs / updates.

· Complete construction phase field inspections and reports as needed.

· Interact directly with client and project team communicating project progress and findings and recommendations

· Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Abilities Requirements/Preferred:

· B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological field with PE or PG licensure.

· Experience - Water Resource and Earthen Structure construction, and/or general Construction Inspection/Oversight

· Licensed PG or Professional Engineer (P.E.).

· Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology-specifically geotechnical and civil engineering. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design requirements of construction.

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong leadership ability and personal initiative

· Knowledge of geotechnical engineering / geological design principles and processes.

· Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with AutoCAD and MicroStation a plus

· Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year with per diem provided.
