Production Supervisor

A Production Supervisor is needed at our Charleston Commercial Vehicle manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop assembly shift leaders and assembly teams
• Assure all components of operation including Maintenance, Logistics and Shipping follow and adhere to ZF safety policies
• Meet and maintain productivity goals on a daily basis in accordance with proper staffing levels
• Meet PPM goals established by customer and quality department
• Provide support to Line Leaders on a daily basis, providing basic troubleshooting for process/product related issues
• Meet customer delivery targets
• Provide process improvements driven by team oriented continuous improvement processes
• Develop, drive and maintain DRM activities in accordance with ZF global requirements
• Initiate and follow-up with internal Corrective actions as needed and directed
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
• 5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory position (preferred)
• Experience with quality engineering, manufacturing engineering and materials management (preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge and practical work experiences preferably in a machining or assembly-manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, mainly Excel and Word
• Effective communication skills
• Great attention to detail

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Frequently lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, and correctly lift up to 75 lbs *
• Occasionally to frequently bend, twist and squat
• Perform fast-paced repetitive use of both right and left hands, including light-grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying
• Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise, below 80 DBA (hearing protection not required)
• Ability to perform in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses and steel toe shoes
