Production Service Engineer (Hybrid, Seattle/San Jose/San Diego/ Kirkland)

We are looking for a Production Service Engineer for a large, global SaaS B2B high-tech company. This role will be responsible for production Support in a cloud infrastructure environment.

This is a 12-month contract (extensions possible). 40 hours per week role, Hybrid role in the US ( up to 1-2 days a week working from Seattle, San Jose, San Diego, or Kirkland Office). Must work PST time-zone hours. Must be willing to be on call for occasional after-hours and weekend work

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

Work on incidents associated with failed automation and core instance components. Perform troubleshooting and ensure automation proceeds further after remediation of blocking issues. Create problems (bugs) tickets for issues identified with automation or core component. Work closely with multiple development teams to drive resolution to bugs identified. Participate in design reviews and provide inputs. Maintain operational, configuration, and other Standard Operating Procedures. Operate the Cloud Infrastructure to the highest standards of professionalism and availability. Identify and collaborate with appropriate teams to improve monitoring of the Cloud services.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of related experience in providing support on cloud infrastructure, including hardware platforms, OS, virtualization, networks, application, databases, web, and application servers. Experience with troubleshooting and debugging of 3-tier web applications. Required proficiency in Unix command line, JavaScript, and MySQL/ PostgreSQL Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra or similar technologies. Understanding of Apache/Tomcat; experience with Java is a plus. Experience with systems monitoring and management platforms (Splunk, Nagios/Icinga, Cacti, Netcool, Puppet, cfengine, chef) is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.

Compensation: $56 - $63hr.
