We are recruiting a Production Planner to join our Qantas team in Los Angeles. Reporting to the LAX Planning and Maintenance Support Services Manager, you will work in collaboration with multiple teams towards Planning, forecasting, estimating, measuring and scheduling of work programs under minimal supervision.

Working as part of the team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing both long- and short-term manpower rostering functions
  • Maintain the broad range of day-to-day administrative duties associated with E & M functions
  • Compliance with corporate occupational health and safety responsibilities standard
  • Compliance with the corporate and departmental/divisional customer service standards
  • Short term planning within the areas of responsibility
  • Familiarity with and comply with the Qantas cardinal rules and all procedures developed in accordance with S.A.F.E. manual
  • Performing aircraft maintenance Planning, and associated tasks to ensure a high level of safety, reliability and presentation required by customers, regulatory authorities and management is provided on time and in a cost-effective manner
  • Planning the efficient performance of aircraft maintenance based on known defects and their possible resolution related to available spares, manpower, ground-time, dispatchability criteria.
  • Recording and Measuring production performance levels and provide data to assist in Business Continuous Improvement strategies to meet business objectives.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Analytic problem-solving experience
  • A working knowledge & competence in using Microsoft Office & ERP systems
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • A team-oriented attitude and be able to work with minimum supervision
  • A commitment to being a highly customer-focused team worker with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Previous planning experienced desired but not essential
