Job Description

The QA Operator will be responsible to liaise with Operations to ensure a safe wholesome finished product, which meets our customer’s specifications. This is accomplished by conforming to all standards within the LOL Quality Management Systems.

Percentage of Job/ Essential Job Functions

• Monitor activities to ensure compliance to all standards of LQMS.

• Work with QA Supervisor, Leads and Staff to foster and develop programs to assist all employees in the completion of their duties, especially regarding Quality.

• Works Plant wide to ensure that product integrity, from a microbiological and analytical standpoint, is protected

• Utilize laboratory supplies/items relating to plant sanitation/safety

• Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work alone as well as with a team

• Extremely attentive to detail

• Analytical problem solving / root cause analysis skills

• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements

• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment

• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present

• Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime

Education:

• High School diploma or GED-equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience

• 1 plus years’ Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a Dairy or related food plant manufacturing operations

• Associates Degree in Science related field

• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Night shift

Experience:

• Quality assurance: 1 year (Required)
