Stratas Foods was formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

Job Description

This position supports plant operations by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs and tasks as required. Additionally, candidates must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends, as required.

The tasks required include, but are not limited to: general housekeeping (i.e. clean up, sweeping, vacuuming), painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, operate a motorized fork lift, and miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

Primary Duties:

• Coordinate production with production scheduler and operators
• Direct and assign housekeeping duties to maintain clean production areas
• Update cleaning schedule logs
• Assure quality of product produced
• Monitor production rates
• Fill in on production lines as needed (breaks, lunches, vacations, etc.)
• Identify needed mechanical improvements
• Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
• Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
• Monitor completion and accuracy of production reports
• Plan/prepare oil so operator is not waiting for product
• Load and unload bulk oil/ ingredient trucks as needed
• Complete necessary steps of strapping tanks and recording in log books.
• Tank to tank transfers from hydro to packaging, additive blending of tanks.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data entry

Additional Information

Physical: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights.
