HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Material Control - Team Member typically involves various tasks related to the physical handling, movement, and storage of materials within plant. This includes tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

· Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or other transportation vehicles.

· Inspect materials for damage, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

· Organize and store materials in designated locations, maintaining proper inventory control.

· Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and securing items.

· Operate various material handling equipment such as forklifts and tuggers to move materials within the facility.

· Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during material handling operations.

· Collaborate with other team members or departments to fulfill material requests and ensure timely delivery.

· Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and any discrepancies.

· Perform routine maintenance and inspections on material handling equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in material handling operations.

Qualifications & Preferences

Required:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Prior experience in material handling or a similar role is preferred.

· Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (valid forklift operator certification may be required).

· Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to material handling operations.

· Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with others.

Working Hours (Shift) Requirement

· Employment opportunities at HMGMA will be completed on multiple phases.
Shift assignment for this position may change to meet the business needs.

Travel Requirement

· Domestic / International travel required.
