The Role

Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards for products and customer satisfaction? Look no further than Accuma Corporation! We're seeking a Product/Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team of experts.

As a Product/Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards that our customers have come to expect from our products. You will be responsible for assisting with the completion of corrective actions for customer-related concerns, using your knowledge of statistics, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes to ensure that we identify and resolve any issues quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Product / Quality Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with completion of corrective actions (8D’s) for customer related concerns and discussing actions taken with the customer as required.
  • Completes and Submits full PPAP packages to customers as part of company Production Part Approval Process to include discussing product launch items with the customer as needed.
  • Completes and documents Measurement System Analysis Studies (i.e. Gage R&R).
  • Completes and document’s part capability studies (i.e. Cpk, Ppk).
  • Documents Control Plans, PFMEA and Flow Charts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for root cause and corrective action.
  • Lead quality APQP/PPAP initiatives with new or changed products for manufacturing quality.
  • Identify, develop and implement systems and processes that will assure product conformance to specifications, including developing product specifications, procedures and test methods as required.
  • Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies / procedures.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Product / Quality Engineer are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or CQE certification.
  • Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred minimum 4-year experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of statistics, root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Professional and optimistic attitude, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of injection molding and assembly processes is preferred.
