Moog Industrial Group is seeking a Product Engineering Specialist/Lead. In this role you will maintain full engineering cognizance of programs from mid-development through production, which includes coordination of the efforts of many departments in support of the assigned programs. You will be the focal point for transfer of programs from development to production. You will define and document Assembly & Test (A&T) methodology and equipment, product redesign, spec reviews, proposal preparation, customer interface, analysis and solutions of start-up problems. This role is in the Western New York area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with a minimum of nine (9) years relevant technical experience; or Masters of Science Degree in Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant technical experience; or a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering twelve (12) year relevant technical experience
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical expertise in hydraulic or mechanical actuation products or electronics (or related technologies), both top level and subassemblies. Keeping current with the latest developments in the field
- Detailed working knowledge of hydraulic or mechanical actuation products or electronics (or related technologies) assembly and test areas, including extensive interfacing with technicians.
- Proven experience coordinating and interfacing with customers and/or suppliers on complex projects or issues.
- Strong mentoring skills
- Proven general capabilities in areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and Analysis.
- Ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills along with strong analytical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
- Ability to relocate to the Western New York area.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technical areas such as control systems, circuit analysis, materials, and electronics.
- Experience with Test software analysis (C++, MATLAB, etc.)
- EM Drives, Motor, and Actuator Applications and Sizing experience
- Experience with hands on Verification & Validation, Dyno-testing, actuator testing, Customer FARs
