This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the intersection of Channel Partners, Customers, Current Product/R&D engineers, and Qualification teams. You will be interacting directly with customer support engineers or Technical Consultants in the field to identify root cause and drive resolution on critical customer issues. You will influence future products, and design, and become a technical focal point for print hardware critical for HP’s success!

Engineering Program Manager Description:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients/partners. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

You will have a chance to:

  • Be the voice and advocate for product quality for the installed base and new product releases
  • Perform root cause analysis and/or create specific recommendations and action plans to reduce defects and improve product quality and customer experience
  • Work with cross-functional partners in R & D, Customer support, Marketing, and/or Design to identify and improve the solutions in the areas identified
  • Write technical white papers, and customer documentation, and conduct training
  • Manage technical elevations from our Channel partners/customers, collaborating with them and CPE to drive resolution to their issues.
  • Communicate escalations and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborate with management and internal development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to established product roadmaps and schedules
  • Lead and provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Typically 1-3 years experience.
  • Existing customer or partner support experience is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
  • Ability to understand and influence technical requirements and opportunities
  • Demonstrated skills in proactive internal cross-team communication
