Title:
Principal Software EngineerKBR is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to architect, design, implement, test, and maintain front-end, and middleware code, using modern web frameworks, and on occasion engineer backend capabilities. This Full Stack Software Engineer will be part of a team which enhances and maintains a high availability multi-spacecraft web service deployed on AWS’ infrastructure. This position will also collaborate in architecting, designing, and implementing new solutions based upon new requirements. You will make major contributions to the design of the overall enterprise system we provide to missions and own one of the SSMO core applications.

Responsibilities:
- Lead formulation and implementation of one or more applications
- Guide the technical direction and architecture of the overall enterprise system
- Identify, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies that increase quality of mission applications
- Write good code
- Lead code reviews
- Ship features in small batches
- Amplify the productivity of your team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 10 + years of software engineering experience including owning projects from concept to production
- Demonstrated knowledge in
- Product management practices for evaluating and prioritizing the wants and needs of customers
- Cloud-native technologies (Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, EKS, containerization)
- Patterns of enterprise architecture (serverless architectures, event driven architecture, microservices)
- Web service design and development (REST, HATEOAS, GraphQL, gRPC, Websockets)
- Web application frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js)
- Site reliability engineering practices (e.g. Automation, Observability, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, Chaos Engineering)
- Proven ability to write high quality code in one or more of the following languages: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and experience applying concepts of functional programming
