Full-Time Lead Preschool Teacher
The Child Development Center is looking for an energetic, creative, and loving Lead Teacher to join our teaching team. We are NAEYC accredited and a 4 Star Texas Rising Star preschool located in Southwest Austin. As an established non-profit preschool, our primary focus is on children, families, and staff. This is a full time, exempt position.
As part of our commitment to our teachers we provide:
- Competitive salary starting at $51,000 - $56,000 commensurate with experience and education (highest pay in the industry and the area)

Duties Include:
- Collaborating with other Teachers and Education Directors to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star
- Managing and supporting the Assistant Teachers in the classroom through collaboration, modeling, and frequent communication
- Complete developmentally appropriate assessments of each child
- Communication with families both verbal and written
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 1+ year teaching experience
- Preferred ~ Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or EC Special Education
- Required ~ CDA or Associates Degree
- Candidates must meet all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
- Must be able to lift/carry 20+ pounds
- General computer proficiency
