What are we looking for?

Special Beginnings Early Learning Center is seeking full-time Assistant Teachers for all ages! We are looking for an Assistant Teacher candidate who has an excellent work ethic, heart for children, and a willingness to learn more about early childhood education. Experience and/or education is a plus - but we will train the right candidate.

‘Day in the life’:

• Supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times
• Following predetermined curriculum and daily schedule
• Decorating the class and keeping classrooms clean and orderly
• Creating and filling out daily reports for children individually
• Communication with parents (answering phone calls, beginning/end of day questions)
• Meeting children’s basic needs (diapers, bottles, etc.)

What do we require?

• No previous childcare experience needed, we’re willing to train someone that has an interest in getting into the field

Is this you?

• Patient, Assistant Teachers need to be able to respond to difficult situations calmly
• Interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
• Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis while spending most of the day on your feet

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
