THE TEAM
I.d. is a randomly inspired shared plate restaurant. Artistic style translates from the design to the food and drink, with high-quality ingredients provided by local farmers and small businesses. Whether you’re out for an evening with friends, a date night or a business dinner, I.d. will encourage conversations and provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience you’ll normally only find in the big city.
THE PLAYER
You will prepare and cook food items using standardized recipes and by following food safety guidelines.
EVERY DAY, YOU WILL
- Prepare all food items according to recipes using correct handling procedures
- Maintain proper par levels of production according to prep sheets
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, review any modifications to recipes to meet quality standards with Executive Chef
- Test food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using proper Serv Safe procedures and guidelines
- Food preparation and cooking skills include but are not limited to: measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods
- Monitor food quantities, quality and display during preparation
- Stock workstation appropriately for each shift to be ready for the meal period
- Knowledge of menu, including what ingredients are used to prepare each dish and how to build each dish to order
- Date all food containers and rotate as needed, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- Workspace cleaned after each shift including switching of food storage containers, labeling of ingredients, scrubbing and sanitizing of all parts of station
- Promote a positive perception of the company at all times both internally and in public
- Perform other duties as assigned
YOU WILL BE GREAT AT ID DELAFIELD IF
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have previous experience, non-fast food restaurant and/or training in a culinary school required.
- You have current ServSafe Certification or be willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
- You must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- You are able to keep up with a fast paced environment
- You have flexible availability as the position subject to irregular hours to include late nights, weekends and holidays
- You are able to perform with minimum supervision
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The team player is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The team player is frequently required to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items that may weigh up to 50 pounds. The environment can sometimes be hot and demanding. Smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas, attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must have non-slip shoes.
