PRACTICAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR

Location: 2301 W. Ashton Blvd Lehi, UT 84043

Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Hours: PRN, Saturday - Tuesday

Pay / Salary: $31.20 / Hour

BENEFITS:

Part-time employee averaging 15 hours / week over 3+ months of employment could be eligible for our MTECH tuition waiver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

• Provide students with technical instruction in a safe environment.
• Supervising students at clinical sites and maintaining a presence in the facility during the entire student clinical shift.
• Promoting the development of professional attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors among students through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
• Teaching clinical/lab/simulation as outlined in the curriculum.
• Keep PN Director, Associate Director and/or Clinical Coordinator aware of issues, problems, or resources needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or APRN in the State of Utah is required
• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university or college, or Associate of Science in Nursing with concurrent enrollment in a BSN program with completion date within a year or less.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Science in Nursing Education preferred
• Minimum 2 years' work experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Nursing education and leadership experience preferred
• Available to work evening and/or weekends and must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate clinical site and student
• Basic computer literacy skills required
• Ability to work as a member of a team and dedication to students is essential
