The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Post-Doctoral Scholar with strong interest in scientific environments with multidisciplinary expertise encompassing epigenetics and cancer. This position is part of a new NIH-T32 funded project, the proposed program will provide trainees with the ideal platform for successful careers as scientists, physicians, scientific administrators, and entrepreneurs that will identify novel agents and devises to treat cancer. The UM T32 Program is a two-year full-time program with the goal to expose trainees to state-of-the art resources and technology in cancer epigenetics research, such as specialized animal models, therapeutic targeting and personalized epigenetic therapies and complex genomics and bioinformatics, in order to help train the future leaders of the field. The program will continue to contribute throughout their independent careers to the improved understanding of mechanisms underlying genome-wide epigenetic regulation of chromatin dynamics, ultimately resulting in the development of novel therapeutics in cancer that can be applied in a context of personalized medicine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• MD or Ph.D. in relevant field

• No prior experience required

• Candidates must be available for a Full-time, 12-month appointment and agree to undertake a minimum of two years of research, research training, or comparable experiences from the time of appointment.
