The ‘Portfolio/Enterprise Agile Coach’ Coaches, educates and mentors organizational leaders and their teams to instill a scaled, successful enterprise-wide adoption of Agile methodologies and practices including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Portfolio Agile Coach provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
Job Description:
The Portfolio Agile Coach works includes creating tools and leading training sessions to demonstrate how leaders and associates will apply Agile methodologies in their day-to-day work. The job guides an organization through the transition and drives continued adherence to optimal Agile work practices. Promotes a culture of innovation by implementing Agile processes and principles which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity. May provide on-going iteration management for high profile initiatives to provide real-time coaching as well as to gather and share Agile best practices across the enterprise. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.
Specific Role Duties
• Conduct an initial assessment of the portfolio’s agile maturity, Lean Portfolio Management practices and other necessary capabilities
- Create an action plan to improve for 2023 and 2024
- Provide Agile coaching to senior leaders
- Work to create the Portfolio LPM that aligns with the enterprise LPM initiative
- Collaborate on and support the transformation of the Project Management Office (PMO) to an Agile Program Management Office (APMO)
- Helps identify/execute strategies and tactics to drive an agile culture & mindset changes in addition to agile structure & process changes
Responsibilities
As the Member Administration and Customer Service (MACS) Lead Agile Coach you will:
• Support the MACS Agile transformation and sustainment needs involving:
o Inclusive leadership and empowerment
o Helping leaders and teams organize around value streams/value to the customer
o Guiding an organization through the transition
o Driving the adoption of key applicable frameworks
o Promoting a culture of innovation by implementing Agile principles and frameworks
o Providing on-going iteration management for high-profile initiatives
o Providing real-time coaching
o Gathering and sharing best practices across the Enterprise
o Advising executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance
o Exercising independent judgment and decision making on complex issues
o Using independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action
• Support process development and improvement
• Represent MACS in various forums
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 or more years of technical experience or 2 or more years of product leadership experience
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC)
• Strong organization skills
• Experience with:
o Technology Life Cycle Management
o Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies
o Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio
o Data analytics and visualization
o Success metrics development and tracking
o Roadmap development for large initiatives/transformations
o Insight development
o Story-telling
o Customer experience design
o Process design and improvement
o Communications development
o IT business analysis, including artifacts development
o Problem solving and consultation within complex environments
o Facilitating cross-functional teams’ efforts
• Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking, and consulting skills
• Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Skills:
• Master’s Degree, preferably in a field related to the subject matter of the role description
- Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP or equivalent)
- Knowledge of healthcare, pharmacy and/or clinical concepts and conditions
- Knowledge of Agile Velocity’s Path To Agility® framework

Salary: $52.00 - $55.00 per hour
