Job description
This position reports to the Pool Service Manager and is responsible for cleaning, servicing, and chemically treating a specific route.
Qualifications: High school graduate or GED required. No experience required, just looking for a hard working mechanically inclined applicant. This job requires high standards relating to work performed and the image represented. Job success is determined by customer satisfaction, and good customer relations. Pool service technicians must be able to communicate politely, work efficiently, and complete all work in a timely and accurate manor. The technician must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, as long as it is safe. Must be a licensed driver in the State of Florida with a clean driving record. Must comply strictly to all road signs, driving rules and regulations. Clean background check and drug test required.
An assigned pick-up truck is provided with all the necessary pool cleaning equipment and chemicals to properly treat the clients swimming pool.
The associate will be expected to also perform the following:
Completely review paperwork and records.
Monitor and control individual truck inventory.
Maintain a profitable pool maintenance route.
Learn different and ever changing pool systems and operations.
Learn proper pool maintenance procedures per our standards.
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: This position requires the associate to be 18 years of age or older, have a high degree of stamina for physical labor, with the ability to work in the summer heat and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively and often. The associate must be able to stand, bend, stoop, stretch, and climb repetitively and often. The associate must have a clean Florida Driver's License and be able to operate a motor vehicle per the rules of the road.
Our pool cleaning technicians work Monday through Friday. No weekends. The workday begins promptly at 7:00 am and ends once the pool route is complete. The job pays per the number of pools cleaned and per experience and qualifications. Starting out, employees typically average $15-$18 per hour and can make more if experienced. Pool routes can vary, but most days would have 15-20 pools. This is a full time only position. A typical work week ranges from 40-50 hours per week.
We are looking for someone that is highly motivated and can maintain quality work while also maintaining a good working pace. Reliable transportation to and from work is needed. Our location is near UCF in the 32817 zip code.
