The Enon Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for Part-Time Police Officers. The Enon Police Department is responsible for providing 24 hour police protection to 2,415 residents who reside in the 1.28 square mile area of Enon in Clark County, OH. Enon is primarily a residential community with a business community lining Main Street and Xenia Ave. Enon consists of two schools located in the village; Enon Primary School as well as the Greenon K-12 campus. Enon Police puts on multiple community events including "National Night Out" and "Shop with a Cop".
The Enon Police Department is currently authorized (4) Full-Time Police Officers and (12) Part-Time Police Officers and currently has multiple openings for Part-Time. Starting pay for Part-Time positions ranges from $20-$25 an hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Currently seeking appplicants for 2nd & 3rd shifts, weekdays and weekends.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Responding to calls for service, writing reports, crash investigations, traffic enforcement, special events, filing criminal charges, testifying in court, and other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
**Qualifications**
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess current Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification.
Have high school diploma or GED
Be a US Citizen
Possess a Valid Ohio Drivers License
As part of the qualification process, applicants will be required to pass an interview board, extensive background check, polygraph examination, psychological testing, and a medical examination including a drug test. Field training lasts approximately 160 hours.
