The Position* - In this role, we’re looking for a Plant Manager to direct the comprehensive operation responsible for the effective management of employee safety, plant labor, quality control, productivity, and regulatory compliance (TCEQ & City of Austin). Reporting to the General Manager, this position is a hands-on role expected to lead the overall performance of the plant, plant staff, and CDL drivers to achieve budgets & initiatives. This should be done through enhancing the operational systems that drive employee performance, improving business processes that touch our customers and suppliers, implementing capital improvements that drive change, and seeking out other strategic and tactical opportunities that will impact the facility/operation. The plant operations manager must carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:*

  • Process waste, coordinate trucking, plan inventory, and oversee plant efficiency.
  • Manage production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends and make improvements.
  • Find ways to improve service to our customers.
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability.
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends and make improvements based on data.
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Educational Background & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or 4 to 6 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading a Wastewater processing operation is preferred.
  • Proven capacity to lead a team to succeed.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with senior leadership and field employees.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, inquisitive, high standards of accuracy and highly organized.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
