As Plant Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of an exciting and ever-changing industry, constantly seeking out ways to innovate and stay ahead of the competition. In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing product planning, budgeting, and financial management, while ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. You’ll implement and monitor safety protocols, optimize supply chain management, and continuously strive to improve processes and increase facility. You’ll lead a team of skilled professionals, using your expertise and creativity to bring new ideas to the table and keep your team motivated and engaged!

Position Functions:

· Oversees production quotas and schedules, ensuring inventory and shipment targets are met.

· Collaborates with purchasing to verify, review, maintain and report on materials and production inventories.

· Make recommendations and participate in analysis of new equipment purchases and an updated plant layout to expand capacity, increase efficiencies or expand manufacturing capabilities.

· Monitor and analyze production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as required.

· Maintain cost reduction programs.

· Be a change agent to drive a culture of operational excellence throughout our plant and organization, demonstrating the diplomacy and tact to manage the change candidly but professionally with both peers, reports, and company President/Board

· Oversee capacity/utilization metrics and develop plans to add staff, shifts and equipment as needed to meet growing customer needs.

· Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on plant operations, including production, quality, safety, and finance performance.

· Develop ongoing process improvements through continuous methods.

· Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.

· Oversee direct reporting employees and manage any personnel related issues.

· Determine staffing needs based on production schedules.

· Conduct weekly department meetings.

Position Expectations:

· Develop and manage the plant budget, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures.

· Manages all manufacturing activities at the operating level to achieve effective and efficient use of facilities and personnel as well as conformance to schedules and budgets using process, quality, and production improvement methodologies.

· Responsible for the production performance of department(s).

· Possess a broad knowledge of department and business regarding performance and predictions.

· Accountable for accuracy in department record keeping.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Enthusiastic attitude with the ability to motivate, be a team builder, and train employees.

· Be of upstanding character necessary for being a role model to employees.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a plant manager role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience required.
  • Experience with new ERP systems integration.
  • Thorough knowledge of production processes and machines/ must also have board materials knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer competency required in Microsoft Office and for ability to work within production software programs and to execute required reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and effective use of lean manufacturing and 5S processes.
  • Knowledge of computer integrated manufacturing systems.
  • Bilingual in both spoken and written, English and Spanish languages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $87,847.30 - $105,794.59 per year
