Job Title: Plant Maintenance Assistant
Hourly Pay: $19 (entry level) to $23 (welding experience) per hour
Reports to: Site supervisor
Position Summary:
The Plant Maintenance Assistant position is an entry level position at our sites. It is an important position at the plant in order to maintain overall standards and aid in maintenance. This position allows someone to learn about our operations. It is also a good position for someone who would like to learn the business and grow with the company. This position is good for someone who likes to work with other people, be a part of a team, and perform different tasks throughout the day.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Must have a track-record of being a dependable employee
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Part of the quarry production team at the plant that assists in maintaining a safe and clean workspace
· Conducts daily safety and maintenance inspections
· Performs routine maintenance and clean-up
· Assists with maintenance
· Helps set-up and maintain the plant to maximize production capabilities
· Welding experience and being mechanically inclined is a plus – but not required
· Operates smaller equipment to assist with plant maintenance, including skid steers, manlifts, forklifts and backhoes (training will be provided)

- Openness to learn how to operate various types of mobile equipment
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Pre-employment physical exam and drug screening
- Able to work outdoors in most weather conditions
- Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs.
