Role

We are searching for a polished, smart, passionate, caring, self-motivated Planning and Logistics Associate. The ideal candidate brings wisdom, enthusiasm, integrity, focus and perspective to support the manufacture and distribution of all Vaxxinity products at our External Partners (EP). The Planning and Logistics Associate will perform activities required to provide leadership and support in the planning, development, and execution of clinical and commercial supply chain activities. This position supports Vaxxinity’s global supply network, accountable for meeting customer demand at our EPs through excellence in compliance, supply, continuous improvement, and cost. The position requires a strong collaborator to interact with clinical trial managers, therapeutic area project managers, medical monitors, and staff from Quality, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations (CMC, external manufacturing, etc.). The position is responsible for driving cross-functional deliverables and managing activities of supply partners and functions (e.g. labeling, packaging and distribution, depots, logistics, etc.). The Planning and Logistics Associate is also committed to drive ongoing process improvement initiatives. The position requires flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and rapid response to issues as they arise.

Responsibilities (duties are not limited to the below and may evolve over time depending on business needs and individual expertise)

  • Interface with a diverse team across Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Supply Chain, and EPs to drive external manufacturing activities
  • Monitor production and shipping schedules and support routine forecasting to for CMOs and freight forwarders based on overall Supply Chain strategy
  • Perform maintenance ERP/MRP transactions and generate supplier specific POs in compliance with supplier contracts
  • Understand and translate clinical study protocol requirements into demand for investigational product (IP) within a clinical study
  • Monitor status of open orders with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time delivery and escalate any potential issues as needed in order to facilitate quick resolution
  • Maintain inventory files and retrieve external reports to supplement them
  • Maintain three-way matching system to verify routine invoicing and supplement periodic Audit Requests
  • Schedule and monitor domestic and international transfer of clinical and commercial supplies and generate required shipping documentation
  • Assist with drafting and executing shipment protocols and support Quality organization with Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Actions for any shipping related deviations/investigations
  • Provide support for all supply chain functions and other duties as assigned

Education / Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in procurement, inventory management and logistics
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, supply chain or related discipline
  • Applied knowledge of various manufacturing technologies and ERP/MRP systems
  • APICS certification desired
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams on budgets, SoWs, contracts, and timelines
  • Global logistics experience/understanding related to supply chains, import/export requirements, and project management
  • Working knowledge of the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and EMA GMP and GDP Guidelines and a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
  • Strategic thinking – can leverage experiences to visualize the way forward, identifying opportunities that add value to the work and proactively mitigate risk across the supply chain
  • Ability to identify and/or resolve issues/discrepancies with others in a proactive, diplomatic, flexible and constructive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships and communication with all staff, contractors, consultants, and external partners
  • The ability to work effectively in small matrix teams in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and a high level of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and mentor teammates

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $65k-$85k. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary , as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
