The Pilates Instructor will conduct and assist in creation of programming and fitness classes for Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain to provide high-quality service to each guest through education and coaching.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct group fitness classes, semi-private, and private sessions
• Preferred experience in Pilates, Barre, and Dance instructing but not required
• Remains current on scientific exercise information
• Ensures confidentiality with respect to guest data according to HIPAA regulations and Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain confidentiality guidelines.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock rooms and equipment as required.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible.
• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings.
• Assist in all areas of the Hub operation as requested by management.
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting retail sales goals.
• Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community.
• Have complete knowledge of all items sold in the Hub.
• Properly prepare and safely handle beverages and snack items offered.
• Perform any tasks deemed necessary by the manager.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Barre or Dance Instruction Certification
• Experience in individual/group counseling preferred
• Previous hospitality or wellness center experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirements

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Lift and/or move objects weighing up to ten 10lbs. and equipment up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
