Job description

Seeking PA/NP to assist Doctor in Pain Management practice in Camarillo, CA.

Requesting 1-2 days per week, with potential for full-time work eventually (1099 income).

Pain management experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Performing comprehensive history and physical exams for patients.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures (blood tests, diagnostic studies such as X-Ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound).
• Formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a treatment plan within scope of practice.
• Implement therapeutic intervention or prescriptions, utilize in-house services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising physician.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic office-based procedures such as ultrasound-guided neuromusculoskeletal injections.
• Educate patients on health maintenance, risk-benefit of biologic treatments and other therapeutic options

Requirements:

*Possession of a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of California.

• Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple clinical tasks.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to communicate effectively (oral and written).
• Demonstrates professionalism, consideration, and confidentiality toward all patients.
• Willingness to obtain DEA X-License and prescribe Buprenorphine for pain and/or opioid use disorder.
