SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Full Time Day Physical Therapist.

Required: Graduate of a Physical Therapy curriculum accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or other standards as accepted by the Medicare program. Licensed to perform Physical Therapy in state(s) served by the agency. Current CPR Certification within three (3) months of employment.

Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing and grammatical skills; proficient in interpersonal relations and communication skills, including pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice; ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective working relationships; working knowledge of computer operations and ability to learn specialized industry applications; knowledge of currently acceptable practice; valid driver’s license and dependable means of transportation.

Experience: One (1) year of recent clinical experience in licensed or certified discipline normally required.

General Responsibilities:

• Observes and reports the social and emotional factors relating to the client’s condition, need for care, response to treatment and adjustment to care.
• Plans, organizes and implements physical therapy interventions according to prescribed therapy, initially and at each recertification period.
• Evaluates the physical therapy plan of care.
• Evaluates any deficits in independent living/daily living skills, sensor motor skills, cognitive skills and psychosocial skills.
• Evaluates client’s environment and activity and determines if architectural barriers should be removed or if assistive/adaptive equipment is needed.
