Overview
The iCare Pharmacist Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance and upgrades of the respective iCare application(s) by investigating, analyzing and documenting current and future state processes to ensure the successful integration between clinical/business practice and the relevant Epic application. The analyst fulfills multiple roles by gaining comprehensive knowledge of the Epic software as well as hospital / medical center / physician practice operations and workflows. Responsible for coordinating all issues that arise for their respective application, and must be knowledgeable about RHS policies, procedures and business operations. Works closely with other iCare application analysts, project managers, trainers and support team to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality, that is in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets. Displays application/workflow knowledge, completes issue resolution, collaborates internally, communicates externally of the department, completes testing, participates in training, works on continuous improvement of the EMR and does system maintenance. This role works under the respective Team Lead and Application Director.
The analyst provides 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis for application issue resolution.

Riverside Health System is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacist Informatics Analyst.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy as a Pharmacist (Required)
- Licensed Pharmacist - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required)
- Epic Certification This job requires team members to have One (1) Epic Certification AND one (1) Epic Badge or Two (2) or more Epic Certifications. Example Certifications: Willow Inpatient and Beacon (Required)
- 5-6 years Inpatient or Retail Pharmacist (Preferred)
- 2 years EPIC clinical systems experience (hands on) with appropriate EPIC training/certifications in at least one application area (Preferred)
- 7-10 years Progressive healthcare (Integrated Delivery System) experience in a clinical or operations setting, IT system development or deployment, experience as a clinical analyst, business analyst, systems or financial analyst. (Preferred)

What you will do
- Provides technical and clinical/operational expertise in the design, programming, testing, and implementation of relevant applications while participating in solutions and providing sound recommendations to meet end-user and stakeholder needs. Be aware of and follow new developments and events from the Epic Userweb.
- In conjunction with stakeholders, validate and determine if the problem, need or issue is application, training or technical related. To resolve it, gather and organize relevant information pertaining to the incident at hand.
- Communicates clear and precise verbally and in writing with team members in timely and professional manner.
Communicates consistently with Training & Support and Reporting areas to keep them informed of upgrades and changes. Is active member of 1-2 Integrated workgroups (Epic defined formal and informal/ad-hoc) - Proactively communicates and keep end user informed of ticket status and resolves within given ServiceNow parameters. Ensure workflow associated with the change is appropriate to the end-user. Ensure presence and active listening in formal stakeholder meetings, vendor workgroups and communication channels. Maintains regular communication with Epic representatives.
Ensure workflow associated with the change is appropriate to the end-user - Performs quality assurance, application and integrated testing on all build. Documents testing results.
- Participates in training development, provides updates needed on existing material and assists to identify team members affected by changes.
- Optimizes the design of Epic to meet the needs of end-users. Conducts re-evaluation of implemented solutions and workflows. Participates in ongoing change evaluation and supports end-users in maintaining changed workflow and technological processes. Awareness of Epic's best practices and our adoption rates.
- Maintain Epic Certification/New Version Training (NVT), complete system maintenance items as required, timely resolution of Service Catalog tasks and work IT owned WQs. System updates are completed on-time.
