Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming calls throughout the day.

  • Check e-mail throughout the day; reply and process e-mails as they come in.

  • Process and document utility locates for upcoming jobs to allow adequate response time prior to a job.

  • Maintain/refresh utility locates as needed depending on utility holder's responses and job duration.

  • Enter and maintain accurate records within the database specifically regarding contact information for municipalities,uploading permits and inspections sheets, locate sheets, inspection info, inspector contact info, and locate details.

  • Continually assess upcoming jobs for required permitting and inspections.

  • Apply for and obtain necessary permitting for upcoming jobs.

  • Set up inspections for upcoming jobs.

  • Review, edit, and create job packets for upcoming jobs and include any relevant documentation in the packet.

  • Apply for and renew licenses, bonds, and certificates of insurance as needed in order to seamlessly moveforward with work within any necessary jurisdiction.

  • Help keep the office clean and tidy.

  • Be available to help in whatever capacity may be needed (processing bid requests from customers, tracking down information, etc.).

  • Other duties as assigned.
