Job Summary:
Partners with the Employee Relations Manager to coach, train and advise managers and employees on Human Resources issues, policies and procedures. Promotes exceptional employee performance, creates an environment of trust and teamwork, facilitates fairness and equal opportunity to develop employee potential through excellent human resources practices. Supports the HR needs of the management team, providing employee training, maintaining current employee records, attendance tracking, leave of absences, hourly employee evaluations and other related HR functions.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills:
Bachelors degree preferred. 2+ years Human Resources experience with concentration in Employee Relations required. PHR, SPHR certification preferred. Desire to receive and provide training in all corporate HR areas supporting the business. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision. Discretion regarding confidential matters. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Thorough knowledge of employment law is required. Ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written formats.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Asheboro campus in the administration of all Human Resources policies and procedure. Is a resource for issues such as employee performance, reward and recognition, progressive disciple, diversity in the workplace and all compliance issues. Provides educational and teachable moments.
  • Drives policy review and education while balancing operational and employee needs. Seeks opportunities to improve and update Human Resources policies, communication tools and practices.
  • Represents Technimark in regulatory hearings and responses to regulatory agencies such as unemployment hearing, EEOC position statement preparation.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal counsel as needed/required.
  • Assists with the preparation of reports and the analysis of statistical data for metrics and regulatory purposes and trending benchmarking to identify areas of training or growth opportunity. Coordinates development of appropriate training programs with the Senior Human Resources Manager.
  • Responsible for Attendance Tracking – Evaluate absence points in Paycor. Communicate with supervisors to verify and / or correct as needed. Provide attendance report for posting weekly.
  • Responsible for distributing Employee Evaluations (all hourly) – Send out hourly evaluations to all supervisors of hourly employees (direct and indirect).
  • Responsible for interfacing with community and governmental agencies.
  • Maintain and update all hourly employee files – address changes, job changes, pay increases, disciplinary action notices, etc.
  • Assist all plant supervisors with communication notices or attendance issues- verify communication notices are issued per policy.
  • Assist employees with issues, questions and complaints – hours, vacation, attendance hours, etc.
  • Coordinate Paycor time and attendance issues.
  • Receives all incoming calls into HR for past employment verifications/current employment verification/eligible for possible rehire/ asking for an update of their application for all plants.
  • Coordinates service award program, fields employee complaints, and assists in complaint resolution.
  • Supports HR with company and plant events, employee meetings, and other projects as needed.
  • Manage food services and other employee services as needed.
  • Participate in Employee Orientation, Development and Training.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other seminars as needed.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR Department and organization to improve employee experience.
  • Coach Supervisors and Managers to ensure they are knowledgeable about employment laws in order to successfully apply legal guidelines in the workplace.
  • Administer programs to help Supervisors and Managers recognize and thank employees for their contributions.
