Kamla Hotels is a growing hospitality management company located in Cerritos. We are looking at expanding our People & Culture department and are looking for a People & Cutlure Generalist to join our team!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Ensure consistency and alignment with the company’s mission, vision, values, and branding
  • Bring recommendations to the team to improve processes and systems, review, and collaborate with the team on implementing a plan
  • Manage onboarding process for new hires and rehires
  • Assist with recruitment effort such as posting, sourcing and hiring
  • Assist in planning, training, and development of company-wide events
  • Support performance review processes and employee engagement initiatives
  • Supports the benefit administration including but not limited to FMLA administration, tracking, benefit reconciliation
  • Supports the People and Culture team in implementing programs to help achieve the company business goals and objectives, desired culture and overall team member experience
  • Supports HRIS system updates related to onboarding specific to payroll related functions, people movement and off-boarding
  • Builds relationships collaboratively within the organization (leaders and team members) by providing a high level of customer service and value-added support
  • Coordinates recognition programs including reminders, award ordering, and celebratory announcements
  • Consistently tracks brand and compliance training through the LMS and other company established training programs, communicates training gaps and accomplishments
  • Provides assistance to all people and culture projects as needed
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including; bi-weekly, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, manual checks
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

EDUCATION

Minimum of High School Graduation or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

· Excellent customer service skills

· Organized and detail-oriented

· Outstanding communicator both verbally and written

· 2 years human resources experience

- HRIS knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new human resources policies.
  • Hire, train, and manage new employees.
  • Maintain employee records and update them as necessary.
  • Train and supervise employees.
  • Review employees' performance evaluations.
  • Figure out what makes employees tick, and how to persuade them to stick around, by conducting focus groups, observing their behavior on the job and through surveys.
  • Create employee training programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
