This role provides support to all five of our locations but will primarily be based in our Macedon facility along with the majority of other support functions, with weekly coverage at our Williamson facility.

WHAT WE NEED

The People department at BRF is at the heart of delivering our “People First” mission. Ensuring our employees are paid correctly for the hard work they contribute to our success is of utmost importance. The People and Payroll Coordinator, reporting to our Sr Human Resources Business Partner, is responsible for successfully executing weekly payroll for our five (NY, IL, CA) locations in ADP Workforce Now. It is a first point of contact for triaging employee questions and concerns in a timely, empathetic, and friendly manner. The role also performs a wide variety of people related administrative duties. Success in this role is defined by militaristic attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize, high degree of confidentiality and exemplary customer services skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Is the primary payroll administrator for ADP Workforce Now by completing a full range of weekly and biweekly payroll, recordkeeping, and accounting processes, and validate data from a variety of sources to ensure payments and costing for transactions are accurate. This also includes off-cycle payments, communicating timecard variances to managers, adherence to procedures, and related reporting,
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees who have Benefits, Health & Wellness, HRIS, LOA, and system (ADP, BRF Connect) related questions; this includes any letters or mailings. If required, triage questions to correct team members and provide follow-through to ensure timely and thorough closing of loop with employees.
  • Responsible for the accurate maintenance of all employee files including timely scanning and uploading to ADP/E-files, and hard copy filing. On a regular schedule, audit physical files and send them to offsite storage according to company records retention policies.
  • Provide day to day benefits administration, process new hire enrollment, and assist with annual Open Enrollment support.
  • Respond to all unemployment claims and verifications in partnership with HRBP and Employee Relations Specialists.
  • Coordinate company safety shoe and uniform programs (ordering, invoicing, expense tracking).
  • Interact with all levels of staff with professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to employee and company information.
  • Support department members with general administrative tasks as requested.
  • Fill in at reception in Macedon and Williamson as required for vacations or leaves.
  • Act as back up to Talent Acquisition Coordinator and Employee Experience Coordinator duties as needed.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in data entry and payroll processing. ADP system experience is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in an administrative support function which required consistent people interaction, time management, multi-tasking, and a wide variety of daily tasks.
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to create documents, format, perform mail merges and mass mailings in Word. Excel experience requires filtering of data, creation of reports, and basic formula creation. PowerPoint experience requires formatting of slides and creation of work breakdown instructions.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Able to work out of either Macedon or Williamson facility based on HR activities.
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to provide support to all shifts, which entails shifting hours to early arrival when needed to support company events and activities.
  • Critical thinking skills are a must.
  • Customer service skills – imperative that this role be the champion for the employee, assisting when able, and filtering the issue or request to other team members when applicable. Timely and thorough closing of loop with employees is vital.
  • Time management skills – ability to balance to-do list, communicate status projects, and keep manager and team updated on any changes to deliverables.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills – ability to multi-task is a must. There are frequent interruptions throughout the day, and the ability to keep on task and re-prioritize is a must.


Language Ability:
Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Bilingual in Spanish to English a big plus

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Outlook. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have intermediate experience with HRIS system including acquiring and filtering data!
