As a member of the payroll tax team you will support the day-to-day tax functions of payroll operations! The Payroll Tax Analyst will possess the experience to effectively review and analyze employee tax records, resolve tax notices, uncover root cause of issues, and collaborate with the team to evaluate and improve processes.

A day in the Life:

• Review employee tax record for accuracy and compliance
• Record, research and resolve agency tax notices
• Register new tax jurisdictions and activate on payroll software
• Research and collaborate with payroll team to resolve employee inquiries/cases
• Assist in the analysis and accuracy of tax withholding and reporting
• Research and remain current with payroll tax compliance laws and regulations
• Collaborate with key partners on ad hoc projects as needed

Keys to Success:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• 3+ years of Payroll tax reporting and compliance in a multi-state / large corporation
• Exhibit accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective social skills both written and verbal
• Sophisticated Excel knowledge
• Excellent customer service
• Strong analytical ability and critical thinking
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data privacy
• Positive demeanor and outstanding work ethic
