Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of weekly and biweekly payroll, including maintaining payroll deductions and contributions for benefits and garnishments; set-up and maintain payroll classes.
• Maintain payroll records for biweekly / confidential employees, including W-4’s, status changes, and direct deposit information.
• Process weekly and biweekly payroll and distribute checks to regions.
• Interact frequently with regional personnel on payroll issues; assist and back-up regional clerks in entering time for weekly/field employees.
• Research discrepancies and questions regarding payroll; ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
• File and remit payment on all federal, state and local payroll related reports; file monthly union reports and make corresponding payments to the unions.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts.
• Assist in processing, printing, and distributing W-2’s.

• Perform other responsibilities as directed.
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years general accounting and/or payroll experience.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required; must be a self-motivated individual.
• Strong detail orientation; must have ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies
