Summary of Duties:

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) position provides front office support services in patient care areas such as scheduling patient appointments, triaging patient telephone calls to medical staff, registering patients, providing point-of-service admission, maintaining patient records and charts, initiating and processing patient charge documents, opening and closing the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, receiving payments/cashiering, switchboard operation and general customer service. Position may require evening and weekend shift.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Schedule may include alternate work hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) months cash handling experience.
  • Experience working in a medical setting.
  • Experience answering a multi-line phone system.
  • Experience working reception in a medical or veterinary setting.

Monthly Salary: Range 38 | $3,096 to $4,117 (Step A-M) Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
