WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Execution of daily food service, quality, technique, portion, presentation, and food cost control
    • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and culinary team
    • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise all culinary activities
    • Modifying menus or creating new ones that meet quality standards
    • Support management with menu pricing and menu innovation
    • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
    • Estimating food consumption, food/labor costs, requisition of food purchase
    • Collaborate with managers on expense tracking for accurate financial projections
    • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs in coordination with corporate office
    • Recruit and manage kitchen staff
    • Previous experience in a restaurant/customer service/pastry setting is preferred.
    • Able to prepare a variety of pastries and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
    • A deep passion for food, sweets (!!!), helping and serving others (both customers and team members)
    • Solve arising problems or complaints
    • Perform administrative duties
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standard
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
    • Track food costs while managing vendors to provide standard cost-efficient products

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a kitchen management position
  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with manager, kitchen, and dining room personnel
  • Must be able to draft up a HACCP plan
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Be able to reach, bed, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Full day availability is required, flexible schedule
  • Manager ServSafe is required
