Homewatch CareGivers of Yorba Linda is seeking a reliable and compassionate part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a great opportunity in the Greater Orange County area. The main job responsibilities for this new position will be two-fold. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessments to new clients (private pay and veterans) as well as reassessing regular clients each quarter to monitor the care being received by our caregivers. This individual will also be a teacher within our organization and will be involved in training our new caregivers, conducting regular ongoing training, and facilitating needs-based training within our organization. Our intention is to create a training lab so that we can add real-world training to the programs we already utilize.

Care will be provided in our client’s homes, ensuring comfort, dignity, compassion, and respect for all of our clients and their families. With the assistance of our dedicated office staff team, we strive to meet high standards by providing an unsurpassed level of care. Training will occur in the field and in our office in Yorba Linda.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts initial evaluation visit and reevaluates client’s needs as required.

Initiates the plan of care and necessary revisions.

Prepares progress notes for each client visit and summaries of care conferences on his/her clients.

Informs personnel of changes in the client’s condition and needs of the client.

Counsels the client and family/significant others.

Supervises caregiver on duty and assists in evaluating performance and training.

Provides patient care as needed.

Completes and submits new client and veteran assessments, and/or reassessments, and follows on up cases in which there are significant changes in condition.

Assists in conducting caregiver orientations and job-related training sessions in our office.

Hours will fluctuate somewhat but will probably start at 8-15 hours per week. Perfect for someone looking to add some extra work each week with a lot of flexibility in scheduling or possibly a retiree. Hours can/will increase over time as we continue growing our organization.

Open to compensation. This can be a W2 part-time position, per diem, contract, etc.

Applicants must be able to pass background screening with satisfactory results. Must have a reliable vehicle and driver's license.
