Position: Oklahoma Christian University is seeking a skilled professional to serve as a part-time Enrollment Assistant for New College and to support activities of the New College team and enrollment of New College students. The position reports directly to the Dean of New College.
Primary Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Competent with current communication and data management technology and the ability to adapt to constantly changing tools
  • Successful experience in general office administrative functions
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Replies to emails within 24 hours
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with learning management systems and other tools for student data management
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to communicate and positively engage colleagues and external constituents across racial, gender, and cultural barriers
  • An active listener able to turn suggestions into actionable advice and implement changes
  • Active engagement in a life of Christian faith and service, which includes membership in a local church
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with tasks related to admissions and enrollment of New College students, such as
  • Enter admissions inquiry data
  • Review applications for admission
  • Follow up with applicants regarding missing items
  • Follow up with previous applicants regarding enrollment in subsequent semesters
  • Enter transcripts for transfer credit evaluation
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of New College records.
  • Facilitate communication of the New College team with adherence to strict standards of confidentiality where appropriate.
  • Connects students with campus services or academic support when needed.
  • Other related administrative duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Service-oriented and public-friendly disposition.
  • Experience in higher education, PK - 12 education, or nursing is a plus.
Work Conditions:
  • Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional evening and weekend events may be required.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
