Job description

*The Parking Ambassador enforces parking through identification of unpaid vehicles, entering vehicle information into the system and ticketing vehicles.

*Greet and assist patrons with meters and metered parking system.

*Issue parking violations to vehicles with expired meter.

*Must have your own vehicle to change the meter batteries and collect monies as needed.

*Collect all meter and fine drop box revenues.

*Count and verify collections from parking meters.

*Prepare accurate reports of parking violations written.

*Check system/back office daily for alerts and respond to the alerts.

*Clean, maintain, test, and repair meters.

*Keep track of inventory and supplies.

*Walk the parking enforcement areas within and around the business district.

*Be pleasant with the public.

*Respond to parking inquiries during the performance of daily job function.

*Perform other related work as required.

Physical requirements include pushing a heavy money cart weighing approximately 50 pounds or more up and down hills. Lifting/changing heavy batteries weighing approximately 35 pounds. Walking continuously for prolonged periods of time.
