Pacific West Ambulance is the contracted provider for 911 Ambulance Service to
Lincoln County, OR for 35 years.
Pacific West Ambulance located on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast has immediate openings for Full time or Part Time Paramedics and Full Time (No Part Time) E.M.T.’s.

Our Ambulance Department responds to approximately 750 emergency calls monthly in the 911 system of Lincoln County as well as providing some non-emergent and emergent inter-facility transports from our two local hospitals to higher levels of care and in some cases utilizing IV pumps and monitoring ventilators.
Are you an EMT tired of being called an ambulance driver? Our EMT's are NOT ambulance drivers but are an important team member expected to operate to their full skill set and to assist their partner on every call. We allow EMT's (Basic through
Intermediate) to practice to their full scope of practice.
Our Paramedics take a team work approach and have developed a patient centered approach with our co responders. Many times being the only Paramedic on scene.
Pacific West Paramedics and EMTs work 12 hour shifts (4 on - 4 off) out of multiple posting locations throughout Lincoln County, including: Lincoln City, Depoe Bay,
Newport, Waldport, and Toledo. Most posting locations are equipped with a full kitchen, private sleeping quarters, and crew areas with couches, recliners, and TVs.
Housing is a challenge in our area so we allow our employees to reside outside of the county and potentially provide some housing assistance. Areas to look at are Willamina,
McMinville, Dallas, Salem, Corvallis, Toledo, and Siletz if you are relocating.
Are you coming from out of state? Oregon Health Authority requires current NREMT status and for Paramedics a college Associates degree or higher to qualify for reciprocity. In some cases, if you are a few credits away from your degree or have worked in a high volume system a Provisional License may be issued.

Qualified applicants should be motivated individuals with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Minimum qualifications:
- Oregon Paramedic/EMT License or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 30 days of hire if from out of state.
- Oregon Driver License or obtain within 90 days of hire. Must be 21 years of age or older (Insurance requirement)
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
- Ability to pass a background, drug screen (including THC), and driving record check
- Desire to learn more about Emergency Medical Services
- Paramedics are required to possess current ACLS, Pediatric (PALS or PEPP or EPC) and PHTLS.
Paramedics, we pay based on experience as a Paramedic (up to $80,300/yr base and does not include additional or overtime shifts) + 3% annual increases. Option for a $10,000 sign on bonus with 2 year commitment.
We pay first 8 hours of shift as Regular Time and remaining time of shift as
Overtime. Typical starting pay for 12 hour shift pays $24.13 to $30.55/hr. depending on your EMS experience.
E.M.T. starting pay for 12 hour shift pays $19.40/hr. blended.
Additional Bonus for both EMT and Paramedic ($100-$200 per shift) for working extra shifts.
