Job description

The Tradesmen Group, LLC is seeking experienced painters with at least 2 years of experience working on commercial projects with both brush and spray-applied paint systems for long term employment beginning immediately in the Chattanooga TN area. Building restoration experience is a plus.

Proud to be a 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP), TTG is a full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company, self-performing multiple trades including all aspects of flat and sloped roofing, architectural metal works, custom carpentry, painting, historic masonry restoration, concrete & more.

Primary duties include and require

• Proper setup and protection of work areas
• Proper scraping, cleaning and preparation of surfaces to be painted
• Repair/restoration of surfaces in preparation to prime & paint
• Application of primer coats & finish coats to achieve high level of finish
• Ability to perform detailed quality work without oversight and to work independently when required
• Knowledge & experience with single and multi-component paint systems
• Daily cleanup & tidiness

Essential Skills & Employment Criteria

• Trained & experienced in application of single and multi-component paint systems
• Ability to work independently when needed without direct supervision and remain on task
• Advanced knowledge of surface preparation techniques and standards
• Knowledge of paint tools, equipment and clean up methods is required
• OSHA 10 hr training is required prior to job start
• Ability to pass a security clearance
