Personnel Services Unlimited Staffing is hiring Packers / Shippers for a valued textile manufacturing client In Rutherfordton, NC.

The Packer is responsible for the accurate and timely packing of finished fabric rolls into cartons, pallets, and/or racks.

Pay and Benefits: $18.00/ hr.

Location: Rutherfordton, NC

Hours:

• 1st Shift | 40 hrs. per week
• 7am -5pm

Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to routinely lift 60-pound rolls and place them in a shipping container for an entire 10-hour shift.
• Certified powered Forklift Operator.
• Can safely operate various hand tools such as saws-all, pneumatic hand strapper, and fixed carton strapper.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision following packing instructions provided with packing & shipping documentation.
• Able to accurately weigh shipping packages (cartons, pallets, and racks) using various electronic scales.

Packer Job Duties:

• Order & stage rolls on the table coming from the Inspection machine.
• Pack fabric according to the packing list using prescribed packaging procedures for the specified type of package – carton, pallet, or rack.
• Accurately weigh & record package weight on the shipping paperwork and the package itself.
• Verify that shipping package labels and paperwork are matched and ready for shipment.
