General Summary
This position identifies, establishes and maintains community/provider relations with the goal of increasing volumes and revenue in the Hospice and Palliative Care program. This position will identify opportunities for growth through understanding the needs of those organizations that refer to us and serve. This position works closely with the Business Development Department in identifying growth and customer relationship building strategies. The position will take a lead role in all hospice events that promote the program.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Requires knowledge and skill of hospice community relationship building and growth strategies.
- Community/public relationship background highly preferred.
- Healthcare experience, particularly hospice, prefered.
- Two to three years of experience in community relations, marketing or communications required. Position requires skills in customer relationship building, growth strategies and working with healthcare provider organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills/word processing.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature. Requires local travel to community locations and to serve physicians and other system facilities. Requires ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Light level of physical effort exerted.
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Executive Director of Hospice and Home Care.
