This position is primarily working out of our Salisbury, NC office with occasional travel to our Mooresville location. Training is provided. Pay for this position is hourly with a quarterly bonus.

Job Summary:

Orthotic fitter duties include making sure that prefabricated medical braces fit appropriately ensuring ordered support and safety. The orthotic fitter provides necessary changes to the devices to keep them in good condition; Is competent to practice orthotics within a scope of practice that is specific to fitting prefabricated and off the shelf prefabricated orthotics for the upper and lower extremities.

Orthotic fitters are required to have a great degree of manual dexterity and be able to closely follow detailed instructions. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to operate complex machinery are primary skills requred for success in this position. A redimentary understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred, but not necessary for a hightly motivated candidate willing to learn.

Candidate MUST be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good communication and computer skills. This role includes active involvement with patient management.

Strong communication and relatinship building skills required to develope and maintain professional relationships with medical personnel inclcluding physicians, Mid-level providers, MAs and nurses, and Patients.

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED Equivalent; Current ABC or BOC Orthotic fitter certification preferred or the ability to obtain fitter certification within one year of hire

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
