What challenges await you?
IMI /IHI are Public private partnerships under the European Commission. Lilly contributes to multiple partnerships across all therapeutic areas to IMI. As Operations manager you will be coordinating all interactions between the European Commission, the consortia and Lilly scientific experts. This operational role has a key function in Lilly’s ability to successfully contribute to such partnerships, to manage day to day interactions within Lilly, with EFPIA working groups and the IHI office and to strive towards maximizing impact.
As an Operations Manager for IMI/IHI you will be responsible for the operational support of necessary processes in Lilly`s engagements with public private partnerships in Europe. In that function the Operations Manager acts as a key point of operational contact between Lilly and a consortium and will be responsible for all operational activities that are needed for Lilly’s successful participation to a public private consortium across all therapeutic areas.
As an experienced Operations Manager in pharmaceutical industry with a degree in life science, you will be responsible for all operational processes for Lilly`s research collaboration portfolio of public private partnerships in Europe. The position requires strong cross functional interactions, ability to work in matrix organization and a high degree of self- motivation, and ability to travel. The position will have interactions within Lilly and across other industry peers in dedicated working groups and academic institutions.
The Operations Manager will support the Head of Public Private Partnerships EU in all operational aspects for a successful implementation and management of all partnerships under IMI and beyond.
  • Support Lillys` dedicated scientific project experts in all operational obligations.
  • To establish and coordinate project specific budgets, budget tracking and commitment during the lifetime of a project in strong collaboration with industry expert
  • To support and manage financial reporting for each project
  • To manage overall project timelines and ensures Lilly is delivering on its commitment
  • To support legal negotiations of project specific consortium agreement
  • To facilitate contractual obligations, contract development and execution of payment by strict compliance to all regulations and policies.
  • To facilitate data sharing efforts by strict compliance to GDPR and other relevant regulations
  • Support IMI and IHI administrative interactions with the European Commission office
  • To network with industry peers to establish and facilitate processes between industry and the EC by participating to relevant working groups
  • To manage Lilly’s portfolio of public private partnerships in Europe with operational excellence
  • To help identify projects of interest to Lilly in Horizon Europe and IHI
  • To identify outputs of projects and maximize Lilly’s impact
  • To support communication efforts within the organization
  • To represent Lilly in the IHI Operations team at EFPIA level
