About You

As a person, you’re a balanced thinker, a motivated fixer – someone who is always taking initiative to solve problems, make things better and respectfully engage others along the journey with you. As a maintenance technician, you have a strong technical track record, work best under pressure and deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, exercising strong situational judgment and favoring a proactive vs. reactive approach to equipment maintenance.   • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience as an E&I Technician OR completion of an approved apprenticeship program or technical associate degree, with a minimum of 3 years related industrial experience or equivalent Military Education/Training
  • Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, work at heights and within confined spaces
  • Proven safety record and history of safety leadership (including peer-to-peer feedback, participation in Risk Assessment process, participation in Risk Reduction activities)
  • Capable of learning fundamentals of turbine, boiler, and cooling system operations including chemical and thermodynamic principles.
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training in LEAN tools and concepts
  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing and converting equipment
  • Basic computer skills in SAP, Microsoft Word, Outlook and other Windows applications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including self-motivation
  • Experience with Utilities Operations and Equipment
