Carrier Specialist | $17-$19 per hour
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
A well-established seed warehouse in Spencer, IA is seeking a Carrier Specialist to join their growing team. The Carrier Specialist must ensure outstanding customer service, be a self-starter and a fast learner. Previous office and customer service experience is required. Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient record keeping for all communication.
- Answer customer question and provide information on delivery times, trucking information and policies.
- Communicate with warehouse as required regarding shipments for delivery times, trucking information and policies.
- Communicate with warehouse as required regarding shipments for delivery, pick-up or transfer
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for carriers
- Sort, check, enter, and distribute carrier paperwork
- Clerical tasks such as typing, filing, maintaining records
- Maintain contact with trucking companies to ensure any issues are addressed
- Complete paperwork, update calendars/schedules in a timely manner
- Assist Distribution Specialists as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Uphold office cleanliness standards
Requirements:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Sharp attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping, problem solving and organizational skills
- Be a fast learner, self-starter
- Ability to learn the delivery areas to coordinate driver's deliveries
- Be computer proficient, ability to learn new software quickly, Microsoft office suite
Benefits & Pay:
- $17-$19 per hour, DOE
- Paid every Friday
